[2018/07/26] Netmagis 2.3.6 is released

[2018/06/01] Thomas Weissgerber internship on Netmagis
Thomas Weissgerber, student in computer science at University of Strasbourg (France) has just started its internship on Netmagis. He will work on the Web interface based on the React and Bootstrap frameworks.
This internship is paid by the Direction du Numérique (IT department) of the Université de Strasbourg. Many thanks to all the DNUM persons invoved!
[2018/05/02] New netmagis-debian repository
The netmagis repository has been moved from a personal account to a new netmagis organization (in Github terminology).
This move has been followed by a split into 2 distinct repositories:
- netmagis: the core
- netmagis-debian: all the machinery to build Debian ports
The future is to move documentation out of the main Netmagis repository, and to get rid of the FreeBSD port building which is no longer needed since Netmagis ports are integrated in the FreeBSD ports tree.
[2017/10/06] Netmagis 2.3.4 is released
The 2.3.4 version of Netmagis is available on the Download section. This is a maintenance release fixing a security bug which occurs when using an LDAP directory hosted by Active Directory. See the release notes for detailed description.

The 2.3.3 version of Netmagis is available on the Download section. This is a maintenance release fixing some bugs since the 2.3.2 release and providing support for Rancid3. See the release notes for a list of modifications.
[2016/07/04] Luigi Coniglio internship on Netmagis
Luigi Coniglio, student in computer science at University of Strasbourg (France) has just ended its internship on Netmagis. He was working on the future Web interface based on the React and Bootstrap frameworks and on the new REST API. Most of his work has been integrated in the "rest" branch of the Netmagis repository. His work will therefore be an integral part of the upcoming major version (3.0) of Netmagis.

Jean Benoit has presented Netmagis news in a "lightning talk" during the JRES 2013 conference held in Montpellier (France) in decembre 2013.

[2012/10/31] Netmagis is in the FreeBSD ports tree
Thanks to patient efforts of Chris Rees and Olli Hauer, Netmagis is now included in the FreeBSD ports tree.

[2012/04/23] Netmagis at the GEANT Campus Monitoring workshop
Jean Benoit will talk about Netmagis at the GEANT Campus Monitoring workshop which will be held in Brno (Czech Republic).

[2011/10/25] Netmagis and WebDNS
This site hosts the new Netmagis software, based on the previous WebDNS software.
The old site webdns.u-strasbg.fr (in French) is still available if you want access to older WebDNS releases.
[2010/11/16] Release 1.5 of WebDNS is available
The release 1.5 de WebDNS is available.
Among new functionnalities, you can note:
- Management of the « right the emit with SMTP » to ease transition to authentified SMTP.
- DHCP profile management has been improved
- It is now possible to easily rename hosts
- The DNS TTL (Time To Live) can now be set for each record
- The IPv4 "address map" eases address space management.

[2010/11/16] Migration to github
Until recently, WebDNS sources were hosted in a private version control system.
Now, we have migrated WebDNS sources to a new version control system (GIT) and to the github forge.
This allows:
- to easily follow source modifications
- to use advanced functionnalities of github
- to welcome new contributors
Even if all functionnalities are not used at this time, don't hesitate to create an account on this forge and to "follow" Netmagis development.
[2008/04/13] Release 1.4 of WebDNS is available
The release 1.4 is available. The main new functionnality of this release is a reworked authentication, which can now access an existing LDAP directory.
